That seems to be the prevailing consensus from most about the new normal of working from home. What was once a privilege has now swung like a pendulum to the other end of the spectrum, where people treat it like a god-given right. Where anyone who wants you to go to the office is just trying to control you.

But here’s something you might want to consider: working from home could find you out of a job or ruin your career entirely if you aren’t careful. It’s easy to get the wrong mindset about it, which leads to a slippery slope of rolling out of bed late, doing the bare minimum and expecting praise for it.

As someone who’s worked mostly from home for a few years now, here’s some friendly advice on how to ensure it enhances, rather than detracts from your career.
