The Internet Has Spawned a Generation of Losers

If there’s one thing that really typifies the current societal experience, it’s this sentiment pushed by creators and the media. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an Instagram page, a YouTube video or even a legitimate news site, the request for comments and to tell people what you think drives engagement like crazy, because it keeps you on the site by getting you to argue with other people.
Unfortunately, it’s inspired a mass delusion.
A lot of people today have the misconception that what they think on any particular subject actually matters. Some even believe it’s the primary driver of who they are in the world and that their thoughts and opinions alone make them a good person.
Here’s a hot tip: they don’t. What goes on inside your head doesn’t really matter to anyone but you, because the world only cares about the actions you take.
