If you want more money, do this instead

Asking your boss for a raise used to be a sign that you had earned your adult pants. After all, it takes chutzpah to tell anyone higher up the food chain that you think you’re worth more money than you’re being paid, that you want more, and implying that you may go elsewhere if you don’t.
